Roots Youth Leadership and Development Advisory Committee pictured, volunteering and lending a helping hand to staff of the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Senior Services Team, in celebration of Father’s Day at the Vivian Carter Apartments, Golden Diner a Cook County, Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Seniors Living Facility. The youth served the seniors of that community, dinner and engaged in recreational activities, while laughing, dancing and learning about the act of service.
Most of the youth stated that this was their first time doing something of this nature and it made them feel good to do it and look forward to volunteering again.
